Infidelity is one of the hardest problems to resolve in counseling and impossible to resolve without counseling. It takes 6 to 8 months of fairly regular appointments to get over it and to resolve why it happened. There is always a reason for infidelity. Serial cheaters usually cannot change. One or two time cheaters can change if motivated.
